Meeting in Sofia
What happened in Sofia
The meeting in Sofia started a cycle of three major events taking place under the Equality University project.
The meeting was attended by people working on a daily basis in the organizations that form the project consortium: the Institute for Prevention of Exclusions from Poland, Social Hub Association from Bulgaria and Social Science Works from Germany.
The meeting was about non-heteronormative people and how we can be allies to them.
How better we can work with them. In addition, we discussed how to make our organizations more inclusive by developing development strategies in this area. We also made a study visit to the Bilitis Foundation, which works with the LGBTQIA+ community. We exchanged experiences and good practices in this area and learned about the current situation of non-heteronormative persons in Bulgaria.
Brave & Proud
I'm enough! Regardless of who we are, where we live, and who we love, we deserve support, love and understanding. Become an ally and encourage those people who, for various reasons, do not have it.
The #BraveAndProud campaign was recorded during the meeting in Sofia, with the participation of people from the "Equality University" project. Below are recordings in English and national languages.
